Bike Preparation:
 
  • A clean, road-worthy motorcycle with properly operating controls is required.
  • Minimum 250 cc displacement.
  • Mirrors must be taped or removed.
  • Headlight and taillight must be taped and the brake light completely covered or disabled to not distract following riders.
  • Engine in good running condition with no leaks.
  • Tires in new or near new condition. This is important because you can easily get in excess of 200 miles on the track per day.
  • Safety wire or RTV silicone adhesive is required on the oil drain bolt and recommended on other critical fasteners.
  • Wheel weights must be taped.
 
Rider Equipment:
 
  • Full coverage leathers (1 piece or top and bottom zipped together) or an equivalent Cordura Nylon or Kevlar suit. (Aerostich OK)
  • Leather or Kevlar riding gloves extending above the wrist.
  • Leather riding boots extending above the ankle.
  • A DOT and/or Snell approved full-face helmet with no damage.
  • Joe Rocket “Phoenix” or similar light-weight suits are not acceptable.

  

Terms

We are providing the opportunity for approximately 45 experienced riders to ride session-free for $185 per day.  This is not a race day or riders school.  It is a day for improving your riding skills as well as to test and tune your motorcycle in a safe and controlled track environment.  Courteous passing will be expected and enforced.  It must be emphasized that we are restricting this opportunity to riders with previous track experience (e.g. Jason Pridmore’s STAR School, California Superbike School, Fastrack Riders, Hyperclub, etc.).  Riders without previous track experience attempting to attend our events will not be permitted to ride and will not be given a refund.

Payment Methods:

  • Limited to approximately 45 riders per day, first come, first served.
  • Advanced payment may be by VISA, MasterCard, money order, cashiers check, personal check or cash.
  • Payment by personal check will not hold an event slot until the check clears.
  • Payment at the track must be cash; checks will not be accepted at the gate!
  • Track owner will charge a $10 per person entry fee at the gate, be prepared.

Refund Policy:

  • No refunds will be given.  If a rider cancels at least 10 days prior to a scheduled event, a credit will be given for a future track day.  Credits must be used within 6 calendar months from the date of issue.  Cancellations within the 10 day window forfeit the cost of the event.

  • No Shows will not be given credits or refunds.

Safety:

  • A fully equipped ambulance will be on site throughout the day.
  • Flagging stations will be used to communicate track conditions to the riders.
  • In the event of injuries requiring hospitalization, a medi-vac helicopter can be dispatched from Palm Springs

Spectators:

  • Spectators and speed junkies are welcome at the track so long as they are reasonably well behaved.
  • Areas will be designated for spectators to use for observation and photographing the riders.
  • Riders are responsible for the conduct of their guests.

Rain/Inclement Weather:

  • We will run, rain or shine.  Riders should plan to bring wet weather gear if the local weather predicts rain.

For the Lunatic Fringe:

  • The objective of SoCal Track Days is to provide an enjoyable and safe track day experience for all participants.  If an individual rider’s conduct or attitude conflicts with that goal, he/she will be ejected from the event.
  • Reckless riding, stunt riding, blatant disregard for instructions or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will result in ejection.
